Journalist Organization Launched in Somalia

Somali journalists recently launched the South and Central Journalists Association (SOCJA) to ensure the dissemination of news through sponsoring workshops and taking action when journalists are endangered.

The organization welcomes journalists from all sectors of media houses. SOCJA is partnering with a number of advocacy groups in the nation that work to protect media personnel.
