Takoma Aquatic Center To Be  Temporarily Closed for Maintenance

The District of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will temporarily close the Takoma Aquatic Center for maintenance.

The major work requiring the closure of the pool will commence on September 15, 2010. This work includes an extensive work on the locker rooms, lobby area and fitness room as well as the pool deck, shell, and markers in both the competitive and baby pools. The pool will reopen on October 16, 2010.

The work is necessary to ensure that DPR can provide a quality facility with conditions that will optimize the positive experiences of the residents of the District of Columbia.

Visit DPR on the new website at dpr.dc.gov. For more information, please call DPR Aquatics (202)671-1289.
